Farm help

Saw this on another page and thought I’d pass it on. Sounds like a great opportunity but I don’t have a CDL.

I had a farmer ask for my help this year and I've decided to give him a hand. It might be nice to jump in a truck again for a short time.

A sign of the times. It's pretty bad when a farmer has to advertise for help on an RV forum.
I live in California where agriculture is a big industry...ask ANY farmer here what his or her major problem is and he or she will tell you...getting field workers.

Right now truck drivers are in short supply and paid quite nicely. I spent so much time in trucks in my previous life, this won't be a challenge. Just a little money added to my diesel account.

Some states have CDL exceptions to farmers transporting crops during harvest season.

The state may not require a CDL but, in all likelihood, their "Farm insurance" does. Insurance companies do that to make sure anyone driving a farm semi knows what they are doing.

I would not walk across the street for $20 an hour.

They’re paying more than that
