Does the handle pull completely out when you pull it?

There's an 8 point bit convention called Spider Drive (get it, 8 legs) that is used in construction, mostly in ledger hardware. That may be what it is. If so, the use of a Robertson (square drive) will work sometimes, but it's not designed to cross over, it's a coincidence.

Yes, it does pull out as far as any of them.
I just checked with the key, it is unlocked.
I can here the latch "Click" when I pull the handle, but the door doesn't budge.
Being a little concerned, going camping on the 31st, I'd hate to crowbar it and break something.
By the same token I'd hate to ignore it, lots of important stuff under there.

When you said you put a hip into it, did you have the latch pulled at the time you were pushing against the door?
I’ve noticed enough pressure pushing back that keeps the doors from opening easily.
Put a little pressure on the door with your hip or knee and engage the latch at the same time.
Worked for me.
Good luck.

Jim, that door isn’t sealed underneath. I’m not sure but you might be able to get to the latch mechanism to unlatch the door. If all else fails you can drill holes in the recess under the handle to unlock. Not ideal, but better than ruining the door.

On My 18 every basement door latch bolts were loose. On my 20 ...one replaced, another jam fixed but using the key to open by finding a sweet spot in the lock cylinder....Tech told me bolts were too tight!

Can you get to it from the inside?

One of my driver door screws vibrated all the way out after coming across Arkansas. Door came open on Memphis exit ramp in a thunderstorm. Oh the joy and adventure these beauties can create. All now have loctite.

If you examine another door you can see what failed It's a starting point.
Are you sure it's not a stuck gasket?
That's all I've got.

I finally went under there, reached up with a crowbar and popped the door open.
I found that the latch hoop on the RV had moved such that the latch couldn't release!
It was a simple matter to adjust the loop position so the door closes and opens properly.
Thanks!
