Filters and Fluids for Cummins 450 ISL

There are a lot of new Entegra owners since this list was posted. Gary Jones was kind enough to share some additions and part number updates, so I thought it might be a good time to re-post this list.

If nothing else, do carry spare fuel filters. One member already posted being stranded in Nebraska from a split secondary fuel filter (Cummins only part) and another could not locate a 600 HP Racor fuel filter in New Mexico. Bad fuel can happen at anytime.

THANKS CHUCK !! Great posting this for anyone new and as a reminder for the rest of us.

I have 2 of each fuel filter, oil filter, spare belts, gen oil filter & fuel filter , 1 gal. oil, 1 gal. antifreeze, 1 gal. transynd, 1 qt. aw46 and a few other items.
I've done this for years and never ever needed any of it 😄. What do you think would happen the first time I did not ?

Ya know I've never carried spare filters and belts, but I'm going to start with this new coach. We will be doing between 500-1,000 miles per month first year of ownership. It just does not make any sense not to. If you are a member of cummins power club there is a discount on parts as well. Thanks for posting these. [emoji106]

AND...if you drop the first digit on the WIX numbers you will have the NAPA gold series numbers.

Good info Chuck

I'm in the process of ordering filters and none of the ones you listed come up when I do a search for oil filters at RVchassisparts.com?

Steve

I just ordered a new air filter for my 2015 from RVCHASSISPARTS.com yesterday. They are having a sale on filters for the month of February although their web site has been having problems all last weekend and continuing yesterday. There is also free shipping until March 1. I had to call in. The search feature was working just fine, but it would not accept the coupon code. For example, the Air Filter they are now sending is the second one that Chuck listed. The 0420-HH2 came up quickly by putting in 6291-001 which is the first one on Chucks list and the one currently installed on my coach. However, the current shipping replacement is the 0420-HH2. Not sure why it is not working today but it was finding the filters just fine yesterday.

That's strange, the Fleetguard LF9009 has been in use since the 350 ISC that I had in 2002. I have purchased that filter from them for my previous MH.

I also noticed this list is missing the NAPA serpentine belt #, but any NAPA store can cross reference the Cummins number. I must have forgotten to save it when I added it.

A spare fuel filter tip......Speedco will sell a second set of fuel filters at cost with a oil and filter change. The secondary fuel filter is $35. on line, I bought one with service at Speedco for $5.40 as I was lacking that one for a spare.

Here's an up-to-date list that I just ordered and was provided from Spartan for my Anthem:
Oil filter part#LF9009
Fuel filter primary part#FS1065
Fuel secondary part#FF63009
Internal hydr. Part#87610A
External hydr#1097-KK1
Air filter#0420-HH2
Air dryer filter#R950011
Trans filter#29548988
Main serp belt#3289279
a/c belt LA90871-12005

I am concerned about the belts as they can erode over time. Any suggestions on what to put/spray on them?

Steve, I was told to put them in a zip lock freezer bag. This time I used a vacuum bag. The spare I let go with my last MH was still nice and flexible and it was about 6 or 7 years old. I used my spare and changed belts at 5 years and put the original belts in the bag as a spares.

We put our belt in vacuum sealed bag. It should stay good for many years.

I upgraded the DEF filter.....thanks

I was not aware there was a DEF filter. I need to find the location and change intervals.
I think I'll be OK on the DEF filter for awhile.
Every 3rd to 4th Oil Change Interval. DEF Filter. 200,000 MI (320,000 KM). Particulate Filter
