Fireplace

My electric fireplace just quit. It won't turn on with the button at the bottom nor with the remote. We were using it, turned it off to run an errand, came back and now it won't turn on. I checked the breaker above the driver seat, that ok. The outlet in the bathroom word as the breaker shares the breaker. I did not see a fuse on the panel in the mid bath. Is there another breaker to to check? I will look at the fuses out side on the drivers side tomorrow.

Check 110v breakers at the panel where 12v fuses are. Check ground fault breakers on 110v outlets in bathroom or near kitchen. There is a reset button on them. If running too many 110v items on one circuit, it'll throw the breakers.
Also check power at the cg pole. Good luck.

As a check look in the back of the top compartment to make sure the plug is in. It runs to the back of the fireplace up to the right corner and then is placed in a receptacle, on the left back wall.

I apologise. I didn't read everything before replying. I see you'd already done my suggestions. Wishing you the best.

I found the culprit. I checked the GFCI and regular outlet in the basement. It was tripped but there was no light on indications there was an issue. I reset the GFCI and the fireplace is back on. I was running my air compressor and when I turned it off, it tripped the GFCI outlet.

The breaker in the panel above says bathroom and fireplace. Should include basement too.

Thanks All.

Finally....Question for you. I used to pull a 1991 Miata 4 down. Are you towing the Miata 4 down and are you a member of any Miata clubs?

I trailer my Miata in a 25' enclosed trailer.

We are not members of any clubs yet but we are looking though.

Dimplex fireplaces are a lot like Samsung appliances and Aqua Hot units these days they fail often. We have had several and they all have has some failure along the way!
Good news Dimplex is very helpful and will send parts direct!

A high amp unit like this should have NEVER been wired inline with a GFI
its ridiculous on entegra to do this it should have been on its own 15 amp circuit as these units will draw in the 12-13 amp range

My fireplace is on its own breaker in the back of the AV cabinet. It is the only plug in there that is not on the inverter.

Chuck, you have a 2014 RBQ, how is your fireplace wired? On its own breaker or shared?

The attached pic shows the breaker above the drivers seat. There is a GFCI in the basement on this circuit for the fireplace.
