Fisher Paykel
Putting a new dishwasher in a 2016 Entegra Cornerstone last owner ordered with a pan drawer instead . Looks like everything is their 120V plug , right cabinet size , and hot water connection . There is a hose 1 1/4 approximately comes up through the floor about 3 foot that was behind pan drawer, is that the drain for the small FP water drain goes into ?

Here's a link to the installation manual for the Fisher & Paykel DD24 series dishwashers: https://www.fisherpaykel.com/on/dema...US-591385C.pdf
a page from that manual that shows, I believe, the hole that you're asking about :

The drain goes to the trap under the sink as is typical with most any dishwasher. You may need to by a new trap that has the dishwasher nipple on it.
It's old, but here's my FP install on a 2013 Aspire which should address most of your questions.

What a GREAT write-up on the issue Rob. Tons of good information in it. Going to be copied and go into my "important" repair files folder.
Thanks
Gary

Gary, thanks, it's been almost 10 years since I did that project, but most of the info should still be relevant.

You need a p trap adapter for the drain line and you will need a 3/8 to 1/2” shut off valve for the water line. That will make your installation easier.

It is an amazing dishwasher, can barely hear it while running during day.
At night when things settle down I can barely hear it if sitting next to it. No problem sleeping with dishwasher running.
Does great cleaning dishes too!

Good Morning CGS..
We have the same hose coming up thru the floor in our 2013 Anthem and it's not hooked to anything.
We do have the dishwasher and it's hooked to the sink p-trap drain just like in a stick n brick house.
Wonder what that stray hose is for????
I'm going to (someday) do some sluicing and see where it goes to....

Hose behind dishwasher
Bandit 2014. I have dishwasher all hooked up properly , I asked Entegra service department but the guy I talked to didn’t know. It goes into the slide , I blew through it and wide open and end is Int bottom of slide wall. I’m also confused. Looks similar to a Vacum hose.

Good Morning CGSPK
Setting here having my morning coffee and had Epiphany!
I've decided that Entegra put that hose there to just mess with those of us that are so curious that we look behind cabinets and walls and stuff to "see what's back there" and "can I make it better"
Seriously, I do have that on my list of things to do. I want to know what it's for. When I figure it out, (might be some time from now) I will report back.
Till then, Happy n Safe Travel'n
