Floor opening at front door 2014 Entegra Anthem DEQ

Hate to ask so many questions but we're trying to get all of the bugs out so we can hit the road.
The floor cover that comes up to fill the steps will traveling. Is that supposed to come up flush with the cockpit floor. Mine is down about 1 1/2" down and we swear that the one we looked at the dealer came up flush.

Ours is the same-doesn't "pop up" to level of floor.

An unfortunate negative for a beautiful coach. Even our cheap Winny had a cover that went all the way to the door and came up flush with the floor. But lots of positives to off set.

I always thought it was there just to keep your passenger from falling all the way down in the stair well if you hit the brakes or if she is wearing her seat belt to keep her from feeling like she's strapped to a seat on the side of a cliff. Never thought about it not being flush. I never look down there while driving and we never have it out when we're parked.

I agree never thought about one way or the other. Only time we close it is when we are moving down the road. When we stop we open it.

DW stopped using it years ago. She decide the foot rest in the recliner was more comfortable. If you all had not made of mentioned it, I never would have noticed. Now I will know not to worry about it. Thanks.

Hardly a negative as I hardly ever use it.
