Floor slide

Hi, we have 15 Aspire & today the slide that is at the door that she puts her feet on when we are traveling quit coming in. Climbed out & pushed it in. You could heard the gears spin but no resistance. I looked under there no we are parked & can see a couple bolts & nuts laying there. Couldn’t figure out how to take that floor up so I can get at the motor??? Thanks b.

There should be a sheet metal panel up on the ceiling in the basement covering the slide motor. Follow the square channel iron with the holes in it on the bottom of the slide, that leads to the slide motor gears.

Chuck, I think the slide they are talking about is the step slide inside the front door. If that is the case, I don't think you can get to that via the basement.

For the OP, I've seen it discussed on here how to get into that area, but I haven't done it my self.

OK, I just did a search and found one of the threads discussing this. See if this helps:

My bad. We never use ours so I never think of it as a "slide". Sorry about that.

No problem Chuck. You do such a good job on here, that myself and probably others, drift by assuming you've got the question handled. So at first I was just trying to alert you and others that the OP still had a unresolved question.

Then I realized, that I could probably do a search and hopefully answer the Op's question myself.
