FMCA member number Plaque?

Question for Entegra FMCA members. How do you attach the FMCA plaque to your coach? I would prefer not drilling holes in the bodywork.

Not an Entegra owner, but I mounted mine first on the rear hatch grill with cable ties but later moved it to the ladder using a couple of aluminum brackets.

Well I can't use the ladder, no ladder. By Cable tie I assume you mean Zip Ties.

Double sided tape, but verify that it will not harm the paint/ that there is a removal method or chemical that will not damage the paint.

Mine is attached to the lower right side of the windshield using double sided suction cups. It isn't pretty and it falls off every month or so. I'm thinking zip ties to the engine cover will be my next experiment. I thought about double sided tape but worry I may make it too permanent.

I attached the cheap plastic sign with zip ties to the engine cover bars and while the zip ties held well the plastic sign melted deformed greatly.

I ended up ordering a new engraved aluminum FMCA placard and mounted on the same bars with a hanging pipe clamp bolted to the placard and thumb screwed with locktite and pliers to the bars.

We will see how that one holds up.

Years ago (15, or so), when we first joined FMCA, we attached our plaque to the ladder attached to the rear cap. FMCA allowed a member directory search so that we could look up member info. Since that's no longer available, I guess I don't see the benefit of mounting mine on our current coach.

Take care,
Stu

I like to display my member number because you never see a FMCA 4 digit number anymore, plus people in the camp grounds know your a FMCA member. (think it used to mean more years ago, like being a HOG member did) I have one on the front and on the engine hatch on mine. my coach is a cross flow radiator system, so if you have a rear radiator it might melt like the other poster said. most good 3m double sided sticky tape will always come off and if you use plenty it will stick anywhere you wish to put it. just clean the back of it with a good ammonia window cleaner. Safe and happy travels !!

FMCA also sent a Cling to the inside of the windshield.

DarkSideJeep this might work for you:
We use the FMCA campground in Cincinnati and it has back in spaces so they want you to display a plaque on the front. The fiberglass bodywork on my Trek wraps under the front by around 1 1/2 inches, so I drilled two mounting holes in this underneath part, then made two brackets with 90 degree bends. One leg is bolted horizontally underneath where no one sees anything, and the other leg projects vertically upward where I mount the FMCA plaque.

When I got my plaque I thought to myself there's no way I'm sticking this ugly thing on my coach and it went right in the trash (eek) like all of the other stickers etc I get. I don't think I realized people do put these on. Hope I'm not banned from the group.

Mine sits between the dash and the windshield. No mount. It just rides along ok. Not the most visible. Easy to move to the next coach. Visible enough.
