Ford Ranger as a Toad?

Hi all - Gay and I stopped by a Ford dealer today to look at the reintroduced Ford Ranger pickup. To my surprise, this truck CAN be towed 4 down without pulling fuses and disconnecting anything. I read the procedure in the owners manual and it's pretty straightforward.

My question to all you with loads of experience - has anyone any experience with the new Ranger? Have you heard anything pro or con? I'd really like any information from those with actual heresay or experience.

Thanks - John

Have you looked at the F150 it is lighter than the Ranger and a little bigger. Lighter because of all aluminum body. Overall better truck in my humble opinion. More engine options. Can also be toad 4 down if it is a 4X4. If I were to buy a Ford, that's the way I would lean.

Dang... Wish I would have checked into that before I bought my Jeep. I wanted a pickup but the Ranger didn't have enough leg room for a tall guy. I assume the 150 would be roomier. Oh well, I like the Jeep but a pickup would suit me better.
