If my tires are "wore out" at 60,000 miles, I would be asking myself why I didn't see the problem a long time ago and try to figure out what was the matter with my front end alignment. Running your steers nearly bald is a bad idea in 10 or 15 different ways. And, I would agree with Entegra that that problem is probably not their problem to deal with at this point. JMHO

To get 30,000 miles out of steer tires is a pretty good accomplishment and I am sure there not completely wore out either.. there just entering the waters of starting to look a bit rounded etc... I was just looking at mine the last trip out and can start to see outer wear pattern also..
With 25 k miles...Does that have something to do with Entegra front ends
And probably not having laser perfect alignment.. maybe.. but I am satisfied and putting a couple brand new Michelin’s on shortly..
As others are saying... the steers tires are to important to take chances with... Jmo

A post last night from Matt with his Goodyears. http://www.irv2.com/forums/f278/alignment-365533.html

And seeing pictures and reading posts like that are why I put michelins upfront when my 17 Aspire had 2,500 miles on it. There was never a question/debate/second thought in my mind.

Mine have 34,000 and still look great. I have had my wheels aligned twice in 4 years so maybe that is why.
