Fort Wilderness RV camping

We will be spending a week at Fort Wilderness RV park in March. Does anyone have a recommendation for a lot reservation for our 44B Anthem in the premium lot area ?

Arrive early and check out the site first. Just because they tell you that you will fit "it ain't necessarily so". If you don't like the site drive around in your car until you find an empty one you like and go back to the front gate and request they change your spot.

While I don't have an Entegra......yet, I would recommend the 600 loop. It's close to the general store, pool, boat launch, Chip and Dales sing along, nightly movie, restaurants, and close to a bus stop. I have seen 45' MH's in there on numerous occasions with no problem.

I agree. The 600 loop is great for big rigs and convenient to amenities. My coach is 44 ft. and I had no problem backing in and plenty of room outside. As mentioned earlier I've had them put me in other sites that were so small that I had to put the nose of the coach about 6 inches from my neighbor's door across the street just to back in. After check-in you'll have a pullout area to disconnect the toad. That's a great time to go checkout your site. On your reservation you can request a loop but no guarantee.

We prefer the 500 loop. Stayed in the 1400 once and it can get a little noisy with Chip and Dale's Campfire.

The 500 loop is a bit further towards the lake and is quieter. The 500 loop sites on the north and outside of the loop are really deep and quite private.

The 600 loop is certainly nice but is a tiny bit tighter than the 500 loop.

Either way, there is an app called FW SITES, that permits you to see each specific site, and grades the difficulty in parking.

We've been three times and have already booked visit #4. Probably our favorite destination so far.

Cool

We are at Ft. Wilderness right now...we are in loop 1400. The site is plenty big enough for our 42RBQ, but it was tight getting into it. The main road is very narrow and there are trash receptacles nearby. There are several 45 footers in this loop too. So, it's doable; just tight.

My recommendation would be to NOT stay in 1400, simple because of the parking situation.

Good Luck and Ft. Wilderness is a great campground....

1200 loop is great for 45's. Spent a week there in November over Thanksgiving.
