I saw that and thought snake... so your problem is a whole lot better than my imagination was, but I have no answer for you.

JR - If I read your post correctly, I had the exact same issue on both the PS and DS slide units. The solution for me was to have spacers/washers inserted above the roller unit which then in turn pushed the roller down to the floor eliminating the tapping of the roller on the tile.

In order to get the spacers in place, you have to lift the slide from the inside by pushing up on top of the slide unit so you can get better access to the rollers. It took four guys to tilt/lift up the slide so one tech was able to get to the rollers.

It sounds like you might need the same fix. Hope this helps.

In the meantime, try sliding a magazine between the roller and the tile to stop that annoying tapping.

My PS seat squeaks and I haven't found it yet. I also still need to setup a service to have my seat and steering wheel adjusted. Now that the snow is gone for the moment, I'l get it in the shop. The steering wheel is not center, pulls to the right and the seats turned slightly to the right too. It feels weird because my arm rests are not even when I'm driving down the road.
