Fresh water Drain

Being new to Entegra i dont know or cant hardly find anything just this morning I thought way dont they have a door blocking off the bedroom from the main salon then i looked and there was one surprise surprise
anyhow what i want to know it how can i drain my main fresh water tank
my previous coach had a valve that would allow me to drain it
my Anthems water looks like it has soap in it this is my 3 new coach rving and i have never drank the water from the tank i just use it for washing dishes and showers. i still would feel better if i can drain my tank and flush it and refill it myself.

On the passenger side under the coach below the door opposite the wet bay, there should be a pipe sticking out with a valve. Open the valve and drain the the fresh tank. It's slow tho (hours) so in addition you might want to shut off your shore water, turn on the freshwater pump and run some faucets (assuming you are hooked up to sewer) to speed up the process.

Entegra's are shipped full of anti freeze, even in the summer as they don't know how long they may sit on a dealers lot. In addition to Rob's draining method, you can speed up getting rid of the anti freeze foam or taste by sanitizing the tank with bleach or baking soda. On our new coach I used baking soda as I knew the new tank was clean, just wanted to get rid of the anti freeze taste.

Your Entegra User Manual has a section on Plumbing with pictures of the wet bay and the numerous valves, their locations, and what they do, as well as instructions on draining, refilling, sanitizing and winterizing. I've found it helpful to me.

Voltdoc (and others) are correct. You can speed up the process by opening up two valves in the wet bay which also drain overboard. Pump on for faster results.

Chuck....

Looks like my rig is getting shipped off to Des Moines this week
so I'll need to freshen my tank as well. How much baking soda did you use? Did you drive it around to agitate it and then drain and rinse with fresh?
What's the word on your rig?

Gregg

Gregg, I just mixed a box of baking soda with warm water in a gallon milk jug. Shook it up good to mix it and used the winterizing hose (the clear plastic one) to suck it in the water tank. Filled the tank they ran the baking soda water through all the lines, a lot to flush them. Drained the tank and filled it with fresh water draining some as I started to get the BS off the bottom. Then ran fresh fresh water through the lines. That took care of the anti freeze taste and foaming. I did not drive the MH, did it all in the driveway.

Angie called me on Friday, the coach was on the transport lot waiting for a driver. Should be in Atlanta before the 4th and ready a week or so after the 4th weekend. I will let them take there time to go over everything and not give up their holiday weekend.

Can't wait for you to get your new coach Chuck. Sending lots of positive thoughts your way for a smooth and easy transition. I would be willing to wager that there was a lot of extra QC done on your new baby before it ever left the factory. Tell Karen I solved the smaller closet space by getting a bunch of those vacuum seal bags for our off season clothing. And a steamer to handle the wrinkles when we unseal them. 🤣. And no dress clothes this year - if I can't wear jeans or shorts, I'm not going!

But Chuck, where will we go for entertainment if your coach is problem-free?
