Well, I installed the check valve and still the fresh water tank filled to overflowing then I couldn’t get the pump to work so DW had about enough. She called our service advisor here at NIRVC in Las Vegas and he was at the coach within 10 minutes on a Sunday. While this may not apply to your coach unless you have a shower miser or whatever it’s called he stated that if the valve was left open (pointed down) it would backfill the tank through the aqua hot. He flipped the valve up and the city connection worked as it should. If you have shower miser make sure it’s turned off. Page 129 of the Cornerstone manual talks about filling the fresh water tank using the shower miser valve. I missed it and I’m a manual reader.

had the valve out and checked that the level was working and not stripped.
also, the pump does work fine when i tried it to make sure it wasn't the problem. would the pressure check valve cause this filling issue, but still pump water?

The pump will operate perfectly even when the check valve leaks which is why I didn’t replace the pump and just rebuilt the check valve. I rebuilt the valve while it was still connected. Super easy

i have read all the posts here about filling problems, seems to me most are about overfilling even when the valve is on city water.
read the "shark bite" piece, but i don't see how that will help.
looking for some help please.
all the best

Do you have a filter or pressure gauge at the external water source? If so remove them both and try it again. I had a filter inline with the campground water source that once removed, water flowed better into the tank (clogged filter). It was so slow you could hardly tell water was entering the tank.
Cheers!

city water/fill valve
So I figured it out today. first I replaced the water pump, that didn't work. Then I remembered I put a new water filter in the big canister, and thought maybe the filter is the wrong filter, so I removed it, and bang! The tank started filling.
Thank you to everyone for your input
