Fresh Water Overflow

I have attached a few pics of a leak that I think may be my fresh water overflow, not sure. It leaks occasionally for no reason. When we are hooked to shore water the fresh water tank fills even when the valve is off. The previous owner stated that he had the valve replaced at Lazy Days before we picked up in Tampa. We are going to factory for our punch list warranty work in May and this is on the list. Just thought somebody might have some idea what is going on. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

David, drain some of the water from your tank. Depressurization your water hose, turn on the water pump in the mh to pressurize the lines. Turn off water pump and turn water hose back on. I can't tell you why, but I have had this happen and the above has fixed it each time. I also changed the valve but the above was the fix. Noel

There is a check valve at the fresh water pump that would cause the fresh water tank to fill if it failed or leaked slowly.

I don't know if the Entegra is the same, but on the TS the line the picture is showing was the main tank drain. Is there a shut off valve on the water bay floor for that line? My tank over flow sat further back from those two lines that are shown in the picture and was hardly visible from the front. Maybe that has changed though.

If it has a manual shut off valve on the floor, it is not the overflow line. On my TS that was the tank drain line and I did have to change that valve just before I sold it.

My TT did the same thing. Seems I didn't get all the water out of the system and the pump head froze. That damaged the check valve. I replaced the pump and winterized properly with pink antifreeze from then on... no more problems.

David, what was the outcome of your tank filling and over flowing.

Noel, sorry for the delay in response been out of pocket. I have not determined what the problem is yet, just know it still overflows occasionally. Any thoughts?

Just what I said before about pressurizing the pump before turning on the water. Noel

water pump

This is a problem in the Shurflo Model 4008 fresh water pump. There is a check valve in the pump that hangs open. It will fill the fresh water tank fast. You can call Shurflo and they will send you a repair kit for it. Free!
