Away from the pump. You don’t have to put it in that tight space. Follow the line over to the wet bay on drivers side. It’s much easier to install there.

Ok thanks, I found the line where I have plenty of line and room to work with. That will make it so much easier to install.

I had this problem as I didn't have a psi thingy for the hose and had high psi from one place, it was so high, it, blew a hole in the hose. So I did something to the check valve. Took it apart and cleaned and put together, still had back filling, so I gave it a permanent fix, ( as I was leaving that place shortly) went to hardware store, got shut off valve, cut hose that goes to and out of fresh tank, shut valve off, no way to backfill anymore. when needing to use the tank, I just turn valve on. I have since taken it apart and lubed everything and I think its fixed without replacing anything. Just take it apart, pay attention where and how it comes apart, and reinstall, and iffffff, still back fills, then replace or do the cheep and dirty permanent fix I did. Best of luck.

It took all of 2 minutes to fix. I got the sharkbite one way check valve, cut the line and pushed back together. So far no back flow, time will tell.

Thanks

Now with city water ON the water can not backflow thru that check valve
With city water ON turn pump switch ON.....if pump check valve leaks pump will short cycle due to loss of pressure on pump side of that check valve
If pump check valve is closed pump will not short cycle
