Front A/C not working 21 Cornerstone

Front AC compressor not kicking on.

I did a VT update today, probably unrelated but who knows. The fan comes on but the compressor does not kick on. Any ideas before I call for a repair? Coach is new, I did a battery reboot. Kitchen and BR AC's are fine.

Thanks

Did you try the override switch above the entry door? If I am not mistaken those bypass the vegatouch

Try turning it off with the circuit breaker for a couple of minutes. The AC's have circuit boards.....just another computer....reboot
Next guess would be a start capacitor.

My guess is the SC. Reboots are not working. Thanks

My rear AC is ding that also but not after the VT upgrade. NIRVC moved the freeze sensor to mid compressor per CS docs, still happening. I can 'kick' the blower motor on by switching the fan from auto to high. Try that see if you can 'force' the blower motor to engage. Then have the freeze sensor relocated. See doc from CS.

Try rebooting 12v several times. On one of the VT updates on the 19, I had to reboot 3 times to get the AC's to work, but it was all of them, not just one.

Hate to say this, but on our 14 on our first trip, I had the same problem. Did all the resets, etc. then went up on the roof to check the start capacitor, only to find Freon sprayed all over the unit when I removed the cover. It was a bad solder joint. The unit had to be replaced. Hope yours is an easy fix, lose wire, or start capacitor.

I have an Entire approved warranty rep on the hook. I'll let him do the legwork while I watch and learn

Update:
Coleman warranty tech determined that the compressor is shot. Very disheartening that a new A?C unit would crap the bed so soon. NIRVC is ordering one for me in anticipation of a mid February visit to Atlanta. As of now, our plans are to skip Carabelle Fla and head to Atlanta instead. I would prefer a beach, but I would be lying if I said I didn't expect some down time during this trip. Still disappointed

Sorry to hear that Bruce. If it helps any, FL has only been in the 70,'s. 2 AC's might be fine in February.

NIRVC is ordering one now, but they think it might be 2 months. We'll survive

Just a thought if it gets much warmer, you could block off the air ducts just past the half bath area and let the mid unit air just travel to the front.

Yes, I already did that mod. It does help

This must be a sign of the poor quality control we all deal with. My last 2 coaches, London Aire and Mountain Aire both lost an ac unit within the first 3 months. Both had a cold solder joint.

So far my cornerstone has been good. Fingers crossed
