Front Door Key
Has anyone had a spare front door key made? Not the dead bolt. I don't know if it is a special size or if you can get at Home Depot.

I was able to get copies at my local locksmith. He had them in stock.

Just get one from any RV salesperson. The lock is generic and they will have one that will open the bottom lock without even copying yours.

Not totally true. They changed my whole handle, lock assembly out and the keys are not the same. My old keys do not fit the new lock.

The answer depends on the door lock.. Many RV's have a piece of.... Term deleted... Made by Tri-Mark, and those blanks can be hard to find.. I've found 'em in Las Vegas and occasionally in Davision, MI. but have not been able to find both key anywhere else (have not checked with Fred's in Detroit, MI yet.. if it's made, odds are darn good he has it).
One of the Tri-mark locks takes a common blank, but alas, i don't know which one.
And, though MANY RVs have Tri-Mark.. NOT ALL DO.
You can order from Tri-Mark if that's what you have but he prices just flat do not make sense.

Tri-Mark sold me several keys, also available on E-Bay.

I had one made at Ace Hardware last week.
Lowe's did not have the blank.

Lowes and HD will not have the blank, but my local independent hardware store did as did our local locksmith. I can post the ILCO blank number tomorrow. I have a spare set in my jeep.

Send me a pm if this is more than just needing a spare key. I have a brand new door handle for 2013 Anthem in the box with keys for upper and lower locks.

I had one cut at a local locksmith and they used an ilco 1622 TM14 blank

Thanks everyone. We went to a local Ace Hardware and he dug through some drawers and found a blank that worked.
