Fuel mileage

Our fuel mileage is 7.2 after completing 6970 miles of our trip from Fl. to Ca. up the West coast, Glacier, Yellowstone, Door county, U.P. And now in Middlebury.
Pulling full size pickup. Rather be at 10 mpg, but not bad considering the mountains and highway 101. Noel

I agree, Noel.. That's pretty good mileage considering the mountainous terrain and pulling a full size PU. Sorry we missed you & Lois in Glacier .. Cindi& I made a similar trek, but returned to Florence, Or., now in Redding, Ca. enroute to Hanford, Ca. Our mileage in the Aspire is reflective of your Anthem. By the way, we will make the trip to Middlebury next August, as our coach turned one year old on the 19th. Safe travels, say hi to Lois..

Noel,

That's pretty good mileage considering the route.

What would you say your personal speed limit is?

With my 20 foot trailer, I don't drive more that 65 even if the limit is 80.

Curt, I'm usually around 65. A little more down hill a little less up. Noel

That's good mileage as I get between 7.5 and 8 MPG but I don't go over 60 MPH and I'm towing a Ford Escape on a tow dolly.

I think all coaches get about the same even the DP. It is what it was beats sleeping in someone else's bed.

7.5. Over the last 10,200 miles. Actual calculation. Includes generator usage.

Total diesel use for 18k miles was 7.0 calculated with miles and gallons pumped, but we did quite a lot of dry camping, staying overnight at Flying Aj's, Walmarts, Wineries, and golf courses. My engine average on the display was 7.9, also for the first 18,200 miles. I've reset the engine average with my oil change at Spartan last week. They (Spartan) sail my MPG should continue to go up to about 25k miles. It will be interesting to see if it does. I usually drive @62-65. We've done quite a lot of mountain driving both in the East and the West.

Thanks for those figures Noel. It gives me an idea what I can expect when we get some miles on ours.

It's not good for a CAR, but it's not bad for a HOUSE towing a TRUCK.
We ave 8.2 towing a Jeep Wrangler Unlimited, but are close to pulling the trigger on a 2014 Anthem 42RBQ and say goodbye to our wonderful 2011 40' Aspire, so expect the mileage to drop to what everybody is reporting. We don't have DEF either.

Over 4,000 miles and usually stay at 62-63 mph and get 7.2-7.7 mpg. That is towing a 2014 Jeep Wrangler Unlimited.

Mileage

I budget for 7 mpg when I figure the cost to drive it. Then I spend a little less that I thought!

Actual is mid to low 7. Including all fuel burned via aqua hot and generator.

Dash keeps, saying 8-8.3. But it lies.

A couple of trips on 55 mph flat roads I actually got mid 8.

This summer I filled up in Miles City Montana and topped off the tank in Livingston Montana (260 miles) because I was almost at my destination and I keep it full when I park it for extended times. The fill took 25.5 gallons! That's 10 mpg, our personal best, and we tow a Jeep Wrangler Unlimited. We averaged 7.8 for the complete round trip (2000 miles). I have noticed a growing mpg since I hit 4500 miles. No complaints.
