Chuck

Had to try Anthem for a few days to answer your question. Answer is yes, the hose used on the 2014 stinks also.

Thanks Dave. We didn't notice it the few nights we stayed at LD, but I will check it out at the factory when we go up.

I never drink the water out of the fresh water tank. Use it for washing only. Our favorite spot at the camp ground does not have a water hookup.

We had this problen. It was so bad that you'd smell like kiddie pool plastic when you showered. Entegra replaced the whole hose reel. After two weeks, it was back with the new hose. I had tried every kind of treatment you could imagine. Couldn't drink the water, make coffee, or cook veggies. Finally got fed up, bought a Camco hose and threw out the original hose. Problem solved. You need to buy a 1/2" ID HOSE. Neither a 3/4" or 5/8" will fit the barbed connector on the hose reel.

Also reported this to Joyce, but I see EC has not changed their spec.

I must have got left out at the sensitive nose desk and tongue as they were handed out. Our Dec 2012 vintage (2013) has never had, in our minds, what has been reported here. DW drinks bottled water; I drink decaf iced tea with the coach water. I guess the soap I use in the shower must overcome this odor (good pheromones or whatever they are called) I don't smell in the shower. We must be blest...well, yes, I guess we are.

Dave, Not all had this issue. I think that is why Entegra didn't make a universal change. Our 11 and 14 both had the smell. Leigh and I noticed it the most when taking a shower.
Seems kinda greedy on your part to want ALL the problems!

I would expect a good flush and new filters will correct your problem.....unless you are drinking water in south Louisiana.

Thank goodness we don't have them all, but I will say that I doubt anyone has shaken there Entegra out any more. This baby's been put through its paces. I think that's why I feel pretty confident in upgrading with an Entegra, if these guys would just get their floor plan act together. You keep sticking that tongue out at me...would you like me to share some places where you can look for problems, and jinx you?

Valterra drinking water hose will fix it. It was discussed here awhile back. However like earlier you cant leave water in it when you roll it up or you will get the odor on some hoses, I used 2 clamps on my connection barb as it was leaking.

No....that will not "fix' the smell or taste. Requires a change of hose brand. Been there, done that.

Go buy a 50' x 1/2" CAMCO Hose...take off the OEM hose...cut new hose to fit & install on reel....pitch the old hose.

Simple...
