Galveston suggestions

My loving wife and I are thinking of going to Galveston at the end of January. Has anybody stayed at the "Galveston Island RV resort". OR is there another RV park in the area you'd like to suggest? Also are there attractions that I should see?

We like the Sandpiper. Nice park and good location to see Galveston.

Well.......that sound great but the wife is a little too modest. The website says it's a nudest resort.

But again.....look at the time you save by not doing laundry

We stayed at Jamaica Beach RV Resort. We really liked it. We had an end site so we had our own large yard.

Ok.....here's the deal! Make sure you don't put an "S" in Piper.

Sand Piper (no S ) RV resort does look nice. And my modest wife is going to call them.

This search sure made us smile

Been there and enjoyed it. Great pool......not that you would use it. Close to the Strand and easy to get to

We spent a week at Jamaica Beach RV Resort near Galveston. Jamaica Beach is 3 or 4 miles out of town further west which was nice as it was out near the beach houses and condo complexes rather than in close to town. We were there in August which is not the right time to go to Galveston, and it only took one time for us to learn that you don't go to the Gulf Coast in August. I had a 2 AC unit 40' Dynasty at the time and the temp in the coach in the middle of the afternoon was pretty hot. The RV park itself was nice. They put the big Class A diesel pushers up on the front row which faces the beach. The beach is across the road and access a hundred yards further west.... we are not exactly beach people, so that was not the problem but the view and the sound of the surf was nice.

X2

Wife & kids liked it. A few miles from downtown but close enough to easily get to for dining etc. I'd stay again. Only downside is that I have to go through Houston to get there.

We are currently at Galveston Bay RV resort. Very nice! Have been here two weeks with three days to go before we head to NOLA. Full hook ups with waterfront sites.
