Generator slide
For some reason, my generator will no longer slide out. I open the front cap, pull the locking pin on the drivers side of the slide but the generator won't move. What am I doing wrong?

Nothing, the rollers get corroded with time and it can be difficult to pull the generator out. Try raising the rear of the motorhome and/or lowering the front to let gravity help out.

There are two pins. One releases the fiberglass front cap opening, and the other releases the generator slide. Make sure you are releasing them both.

I can only find 1 pin on the driver's side rail. Where is the other one?

First pin, right side releases the cowl. the cowl will slide out about 2 foot. Follow the right rail back and there will be a T handles on the bottom side. Pull that down to release the generator. If hard to slide, stand inside the cowl and push to move the generator forward. Spray lube the slides to keep them moving freely.

Chuck,
The handle to release the cowl is in the compartment below the driver's seat. Is that the one you are talking about? I found the T handle on the drivers side of the slide and it also releases the cowl. That is the only T handle I can find. It pulls out and I think I remember pulling it to release the generator slide but I could be mistaken. I will do some more looking to see if I can find another lock.

There are no other locks, you have found both, the one for the front cap and the T handle on the generator slide.

On my 2022 Aspire if the rear of the coach is even a little lower than the front it can be nearly impossible to pull the generator out for a single person. You either need a second person to assist or some sort of assistive device is needed. When you pull the generator lock out the generator will roll back a bit then when you try to pull the generator out the latch engages. A single person cannot pull the latch and hold it out while also pulling the generator because you have to get into an awkward position to pull the "T" handle and then you do not have leverage to move the generator out,

The second T handle is the one. Sometimes the generator won't budge.. As others have said raise the rear end of the coach. I have also had to put my feet against the cowl as I pulled the T handle. Another reason I quit driving in the rain. The dried mud that came out once I got it open was enough for me. I am up to 189 reasons I no longer drive in the rain.

Take a piece of PVC pipe slightly larger in diameter than the pin of the t-handle and cut a section out of the pipe length ways so that it fits over the pin of the t-handle. Trim the pipe to a length so that once placed on the pin it will hold it open. Now you have two hands to pull the generator out.

I put a pair of visegrips on the pin to keep it from locking the generator again. Just don't forget to remove the visegrips when done. To pull genertor i sit between the gen and cowl and use my feet to push against the MH frame to get generator moving.
