JMO with the skilled labor problem, glass sinks should not be installed in MH's if those are some of the causes of the breakage

Lisa said the same thing. I posed the "is there an option" question. We'll see what they come back with

Wow - glad it was just the sinks and no one was injured. Tempered glass is under stress all the time. Manufacturers liken it to a coiled spring. A tiny, invisible flaw, the introduction of contaminants in the glass during manufacture and vibration can cause it to spontaneously shatter. If it was installed a bit too tight or nicked during install, the temperature changes and vibrations can catch up to it and cause it to fail explosively. Glass shower doors and glass tables have had this problem for awhile. Sounds like both of your sinks had the same problem and the conditions caught up to them at the same time. Good luck with replacements.

Let us know what that answer is. I doubt if this will be a lone case as others have reported the same thing.

dizcom mentioned glass shower doors. That is scary. Trapped in a shower when the door explodes? No thank you!
I wonder if there is a time period which once you get past it the danger of the glass breaking is lessened or has expired.
Come to think of it, I have glass shower doors in the shower in my house which I put in when I built my house in 1974. They haven't blown apart yet.

You need to check the plumbing when the new sink is installed. It could have the bowl in a bind and causing force on the bottom. We have had this issue before. I would contact NIRVC parts department or your selling dealer and get the sink ordered. They might not have these sitting on the shelf and you could be waiting for a replacement.

Bruce, if it was my coach and my wife, I can assure you there would be an option.

The option might be a new coach, but there would definitely be an option!

Sounds like it is all taken care of at the moment. Report back what you find out.

Yes, once we get a resolution, I'll bring the board up to speed.

It's under warranty.
