Good News

I know on the forums we tend to discuss problems with our coaches. So I thought Id share some good news.

We were delayed due to snow for our trip to Quartsite. So yesterday I hit the road and pushed the coach to the limits to make up some time. A little over 700 miles yesterday and I kept the coach between 1900 and 2000 rpm all day (72-75 mph). This coach ran like a champ. Tomorrow well be headed to Vegas and I can slow down to my normal 65. so far the 1800 mile trip couldnt be better.

We always hear about the break downs but not often enough about the successes. These coaches sure are nice to travel in.

Great to hear your coach performed without issue. You are right, normally this is complaint central.
On occasion we run 70 but I try not to exceed that since my tires are speed rated for 75.

Very true Chuck. Ginny and I just had that conversation. Id love to find a 2015 cornerstone with a b floor plan. But with my coach being so reliable and well maintained, its hard to take a plunge into he unknown.

I have new tires and understand the dangers of the higher speeds. I usually like maintaining 65 but yesterday I had a lot of miles to travel. I used a lot of fuel yesterday and I realized those 700 mile days are a bit harder on me than they used to be.

I used to run 800 mile days frequently when I ran big trucks but I guess my back side has gotten a little soft over the years.

Dave, it happens to all of us. AGE. Age = more pain, more aches, Glad you ran a good trip with no issues. Recently took trip just truck fla to new england and back. normally no issues from long drive (2 days of it). this time, been few yrs since i last did it. Prob going to be my last trip over 600 miles a day. On way back cos of issues with traffic, tire, ect made it a 3 day adventure. still sore.
But hey you might be first one in long time to have a Non Issue long trip. Take the Trophy and Run.. lol

Sometimes I think like Dave from the perspective of updating. Made the decision that we are staying with what we have. Runs great, we have very few issues and I agree with not jumping into the unknown.

I agree with you .... I'm at the Tampa Super Show and people ask me if I'm buying a new coach ... NOPE! My 2015 with 70,000 miles runs very nicely, I know my coach; have added so many things to make it better than when I bought it new. This is home, I'm happy with it! Safe travels to Arizona ... hopefully will see y'all again this summer.

My 21 CS has been very reliable with little issues, mostly small nuisance issues. I have needed a heat pump and a water pump. Other than that she has been a great coach. My 18 Anthem was the devil's child.

Hey Dave,
We arrive at the Oasis in Vegas later today through Sat morning. We are finishing up a 4000 mile / 2 week trip heading back to Colorado.

Where are you guys staying?

Cheers

700 miles in one day? Wow, it would take me 3 days to go that far.
