I am also one of hopefully millions of people that has honored his request. The wonderful 6 cent a gallon fuel discount when the EFS fuel card is 30 cents, more or less a gallon without paying upfront membership still sticks with me. I have enjoyed dropping anything I had with the Good Sam's name. That's what I call being politically correct.

I don’t know this, but my understanding is Coach Net and GS contract with basically the same local mechanics. So it’s not like you’re going to get a GS mechanic or a CN one. Also, check your insurance. I know my tt policy includes roadside assistance. Probably call the same folks as CN and GS.

I have to say we have had both coach net and good Sams. We canceled both and since we have Geico I can get a tow for free. In the last 100,000 miles in my coach I was only towed one time and Geico had the truck on the way while I was still on the phone with them. No red tape just service

I have no experience with GS, but in the five years I’ve had Coach Net, I’ve had great service.

What’s impressed me most is how many times CN follows up with you to ensure you’re ok and that your problem was solved.

Really good service.

I’ve seen some complain they had to wait hours for a tow truck and I had to wait quite a whike the first time I needed a tow but I don’t expect Coach Net or anyone else to have tow trucks standing by for when I break down!

I've had CW Roadside and Extended Warranty service plans and current am enrolled in CN programs. While I haven't had the need to use CN, I did use CW's Roadside service several times and ATTEMPTED to use the Extended Warranty service twice.

CW's Roadside service response was very good to excellent. My service calls included fuel replenishment (long story), tire service, and roadside mechanic resulting in two related towing calls for my previous Class A gasser. The towing charges were just over $800 per tow.

The tows were related to a blown transmission that happened while traveling West on I-12 in Slidell, LA. Ironically, my rig broke down in the same place both times and just days apart. Between the mobile mechanic and I, we were able to muscle through the scripted routine prescribed by CW's call center and get an approved tow company on site within an hour after arrival of the mobile mechanic. The fact the mobile mechanic and owner of the towing company were friends didn't hurt.

The extended warranty claims regarded one for the driver's side front fender that fell off while navigating I-70 in Kansas and the aforementioned transmission.

As was mentioned, the fine print is what will kill the claim.

Well, your review got tossed when I read the whining complaint about the 'smoker-voiced' lady. That tells me a lot more about you than whatever it was you were whining about. lf you want to review something, stick to the review, not your personal biases.

I once was a customer, a long time ago, with Good Sams. I needed them twice in two years and felt I got unacceptable service both times. Never again. I have been with coachnet now for 6 or 7 years, only needed them once, but they came through with flying colors.

There will never be a second chance for Good Sams..... save your money.

I suffered an engine de-rate (not DEF) a few years ago on a Sunday in far Northern California. I called GS for assistance and they could not find anyone who was working. Fortunately I was on top of a hill and made a U turn and coasted back down to a RV park where we spent the night. On Monday I called Spartan who referred me to Cummins. Cummins told me to try again and drive to Cummins service about 50 miles away. By then the GS tow truck was headed from same place as Cummins service. I told the tow driver to look for me if I pulled over. It all ended well. The tow driver had to argue with GS for payment
I told him I would pay if he got stiffed.

In hindsight, if I was really stranded it might be a ploy to have one wheel over the right white shoulder line. That would then engage the highway patrol who I am sure could expedite a tow……
