Good south resort for winter
Aransas Pass has no communication, no electricity and the town water tower came crashing down. No sewer service as it is so flat it requires lift pumps and of course they are all out. Port Aransas most parks including Pioneer are a total loss. Have no information on Gulf Waters yet. Our park in Aransas Pass(Southern Oaks) is estimating it will be at least 2 months before they can reopen. Spaces will be very hard to find this winter as so many are homeless and will likely get priority as spaces become available. Really sad and serious situation.

Gene, thank you for that report. I feel so sorry for those people. There will be a serious shortage for Snowbirds as there is a lot of RV Parks on that entire coast.

Check out Buckhorn RV Resort in Kerrville or Johnson Creek RV Resort in Ingram, also in the F'burg area. Either of the two parks in F'burg are suitable but limited activities. We were living in San Antonio when we began FT.

FWIW - A few years ago a couple of us discovered that in Florida, I-4 is sort of a dividing line. Now we stay south of it in Dec-Jan-Feb. Cold fronts seem to stall more often north of it.

Try Sun N Fun in Sarasota huge outdoor pool with bar and food options. Indoor facility with pool exercise room sauna steam rooms 1 mile from I75 and 3 miles from mall about 7 miles from Siesta Key beach. Huge dog park along with outdoor showers at bathhouse to bath dogs..
