Gray tank valve will not close

I'm looking for some help with this. My gray tank valve is constantly open, despite the switch being in the right position (closed). I've tried opening and closing but it will not close. I'm connected to sewer which makes it ok (functional), but this is not ok. Black tank valve and macerator both work fine.
Any ideas?

Have you watched the mechanism to see if the valve closes or just the lights. If you open the center panel you can manually move the valve. I would open the panel and watch it work electrically and if not check the connection. As a last resort you can close it manually.
Hopefully, I'm not covering territory you've already tried. Noel

Got it. The valve was not hooked up to the electrical handle.

Unrelated to your problem. Some silicone on the valve stems of the electric gate vlalves a few times a year is not a bad idea.

Good point Bob. Also helps on the manual valves too. My black tank was getting hard to pull, shot it on my silicone spray walk around and it is nice a smooth again. Silicone can prevent a lot of problems before they start.

Thanks Chuck (and Bob) - was going to post a question about the sticky valve handle on my tanks - that fixed it.

Silicone spray, don't use WD40. WD40 will do exactly what you don't want to do.
