For a $50. offer I did have a mechanic from a truck garage come after hours to the RV park up in the UP. He removed the drive shaft to replace a U joint the following day. Came back to the park that evening, installed the drive shaft and we were back on the road the next morning. It saved me a day from having to go back to the shop the next day, wait for the part and installation. I didn't knock anyone out of line, mechanic made a buck, we saved a nights RV park rent and the shop was paid for a U joint installation. A win-win for everyone.
