Doug, I couldn't find a torque spec either. Thought about calling Klauber, but with companies that don't sell to the general public it's often difficult to impossible to reach a real person. Sounds like Klauber is better than most in that regard.

I don't know what torque spec (if any) Entegra uses when they install the slide motors, but I do know that slide motor bolts working their way loose over time is a common problem on Entegra coaches.

When installing the new motor, I used Blue Loctite on the bolts, tightened them in an X pattern, then snugged them up several times until all four felt about as tight as I thought I could go without risking damage to the threaded aluminum sockets. My plan is to check the bolts again after we've run the slide out & back in several times.

There was a long series of posts on the Newmarket forum. They were having lots of bolts pulling out of motors. One fix was to drill out the holes and install a heli-coil insert so that the bolts now screws into a steel insert, and not pot metal.

Those four bolts that hold the plate to the ceiling are lag bolts about 3” long. They screw into doubled wood stringers. On my coach, the lag bolts pulled out of the wood making the whole motor mounting loose. I tried to reinforce the wood with limited success. I took videos of the motor movement (the next failure mode would be a non moving slide) so a repair was mandatory.

I have a NIRVC extended warranty but they wouldn’t cover that repair as they called it a floor failure and therefore not under warranty. In any case, NIRVC built a metal structure that has held up well. This repair cost me $1,700 but it was worth it.
