Has Thor changed Entegra?

Hi all y'all,

We are seriously interested in purchasing a 2019 Cornerstone, but are concerned that the change of ownership and thus the removal of the proven management of Entegra has resulted in a deterioration of product and service. We aren't interested in handing over hundreds of thousands of dollars for shoddy workmanship and indifferent service. Should we be concerned? A side note: We have owned other Thor products and swore to ourselves, "never again." We were terribly dismayed when Thor bought Entegra.

So...knowing what you know now, would you purchase another Entegra?

I just purchased a 2019 Cornerstone upgrading from a 2014 Anthem. I am very pleased with the improvements made on the 19. A few corners cut on wood trim, but some like the cleaner look, others like the scroll work on the older units, personal preference. I can honestly say the fit and finish is much nicer on my 19 than my 14 was.

The few phone contacts I have had with customer service have been perfect. My 14 dealer was out of Tampa and about worthless for delivery. My 19 was delivered by NIRVC in Atlanta.....what a difference! The 19 was delivered like a new coach should, clean and customer ready.

If you search the forum, you'll see very few problems reported on the 19's, that says a lot. The new Vega Touch is very user friendly and wifi up-gradable. a big plus.

Has Thor changed Entegra?

I’ve had 5 Entegras starting in 2011 and I can tell you the product is better now than ever. The 2011 was well made but those that built it really didn’t understand what they were building resulting in a lot of weird issues. Our 2019 is built with the same commitment to quality construction and 8 more years of listening to their customers. You will not find a better product for the money. If there was, I would have bought it!

Has Thor changed Entegra?

I bought a brand new 2013 Thor Tuscany and have the exact same opinions as you..
Never again...
As one owning a 2014 entegra anthem before Thor bought them I would say the details and quality go deep.. as one who does not own a 19 entegra it’s not my place to compare ... but I will say walking thru 19 models... there definitely not like the classic years... I will leave it at that....
Would I buy another entegra... yes

Ours isn't a Cornerstone, but we have owned 2013, 2017 and 2019 Aspires. The quality just keeps getting better. And I have to believe that if it's true for the Aspires, it's even more so for the Cornerstones. So - would I buy another one - we did and we don't regret it for one minute.

Had a ‘16 CS. Good coach. I was worried about the Thor takeover, like you. Went to see the ‘19 CS for possible upgrade. Not the same. Moved on. Do your due diligence.

Thanks so much for sharing your experience with your 19. We are much relieved to hear good things about Entegra and NIRVC. We will be using them for purchase and storage, etc. Unfortunately this means we are back trying to make a difficult decision. Cornerstone or Essex? We are tilting heavily toward the Entegra coach.

Appreciate your thoughts. Do you feel you could share the specifics that "moved you along"?

These will all be comparisons to my 14 not other brands, makes or models.
My 14 was a problem coach. The way that Entegra took care of the problem after the sale was unbelievable and brought me back for the second purchase. That warranty period was for 2 years instead of one. At the end of that 2 years Entegra had made that coach perfect in every way. In some ways the management changes have been good and the old management is now at NIRVC so nothing has been lost.

I did a lot of mods on the 14 as did many other owners. There is a sticky at the top of the page that show those mods. Entegra listened to the owners and their ideas....many of those mods and improvements are on the 19. I have very little upgrading to to.

The 19, perfect paint, the 14 was unacceptable. Wiring is much neater and easier to trace. No air leaks, the 19 is air tight, both chassis and wind noise.

The digital dash is fantastic. All of the feature we are use to in a luxury car are now in our MH and them some. Nice to be able to see how many gallons of fuel have been used instead of guessing.

The Vega Touch being up-gradable via wifi is unbelievable. If there is a slight operation glitch, check for an update, download it and the glitch is normally gone. A 30 second fix plus the wifi app on a phone lets me monitor the coach from home. One of the upgrades that pushed me forward over the earlier versions. That and the digital dash.

Overall fit and finish are much nicer on the 19, no loose or sticking up floor tiles.

I have had two vendor items that did not work correctly. One was the 1/2 bath toilet, a new one was sent ..... replaced in less time than unhooking to travel to a dealer. The second was the 12v side of the basement freezer did not work. New freezer shipped, plug and play. CS has been fantastic, no dealer approval for replacement parts.

The cut backs I do not care for are the cheap cabinet draw slides, those I will probably change and something Entegra needs to take a look at.

Spending time in both manufactures coaches with how you use a coach is important. If the entertainment center is the important feature, compare both of them. If cooking is the height of the day, compare the appliances and layout. Mine is outside so the larger basement compartments was an up factor for me.

Just my experience, others may vary.

It is from the factory. I have the AT&T Mobley hotspot plugged in for 24/7 wifi.
That was one of the selling factors for me on the 19 is monitoring the MH anywhere I have cell service. Monitor temps for the dog when we are away, monitor power outages and battery condition while in storage.

Took position of our 2019Aspire 44B last week and very happy with the overall product. Some minor issues as to be expected but Entegra and dealership already working on fixes. Basically cosmetic issues with no mechanical so far. Dealership of DELIVERY was RVOne Orlando and dealership of PURCHASE was RVOne un Albany NY.
