Heat

Hi guys! I need some advice. I’m brand new to the motor coach things and it’s overwhelming to us. I think I have what my unit is in my signature. How can I get heat in my bus without water in my fresh tank? Is this possible? I have a lot of other questions too but this top one for this thread. If so please explain.

The Aqua Hot does not use fresh water, it used an antifreeze mixture designed hot water heat systems. You should be able to heat your coach. Assuming the boiler fluid has not been drained from the Aqua Hot system that is.

Your signature does not show up on the mobile version of the website, only the desktop version.

Thank You! We get heat perfectly if we have water on. But not unit we get water. I just bought the coach so I guess it’s possible it was drained I guess.

If you are trying to heat the inside of your coach, turn your thermostat for zone 1 and zone 3 to "Gas". The Aqua Hot controls the floor registers for heat, and there is a "Floor Heat" loop on your coach, usually Zone 2 to Gas - takes a while for the floor to heat up. (this all can run on 12 Volts if the electric element is turned off, and the "Gas or Diesel" burner is ON. if not plugged into shore power)

Your AC units on the top can act like a Heat pump if the outside temp is above about 40degrees, set the thermostats to "heat pump" mode (and you need to be on shore power for this, or running the generator). Either of these options will heat the "house".

The Aqua Hot does also heat the water, and if hooked up to shore water, your will get Hot water. If your fresh water tank is empty, and you are not hooked up to a water connection, you should not get any water.

Thank You! I’m about to go spend the night in it with my owner mauel. One of two things will happen. I’m going to warm all night or cold as hell. It’s 29 degrees here right now.
I jokingly. I’m reading the basement thermostat must be on and set to desired temp to heat the rest of the house on boiler. True or False gents?

Basement thermostat is only for the basement. Doesn't care what the other settings are or visa versa.

I assume you're hooked up to 50A shore power, and if it's 29*, you need the boiler on "diesel heat" (gas), can also use the electric heat at the same time.

The basement thermostat is usually set at about 40* and is for the basement only. Having water in the fresh water tank has nothing to do with heating the coach.

You'll need to set the house thermostats separately to keep the living area warm. There will be a front zone thermostat and a rear zone thermostat. If you have floor heat, it will most likely be electric in a 2021 and have a separate setting, will take 2+ hours to heat floor.

I’m worried about freezing so I need to find those basement thermostats. Any ideas? I’m in the coach now with everything running. I don’t see anything about changing to Gas. I see aqua hot electric and aqua hot with a flame.

The 2021 Aspire has Hydronic hot water floor heat. It will still take a while to warm the floor.
