Heating Questions
We have a `13 Anthem RBQ. The weatherman has predicted our temps will go down into the mid 20's at night for the next few days. Can someone tell me where the bay thermostat is located and how I turn the heat on down there?
While searching through other threads I read where the auto start on the generator will not come on if the coach is connected to 50 amp landline at our home. Can 50 amps run the heating system or do I need to run the generator until the temps come back up? Also, should I run the furnace or the Aqua
I have looked every where on the coach, manuals and threads, I can't find the answers
Thanks for your help! Cheryl

Believe it clicks to the left facing it to turn on...very hard. It may already be on, anyway, as I think they put it in that position as part of the dealer or Entegra PDI (at least both my coaches came that way. Thermostat lever in the middle should be fine.

Cheryl,
The thermostat for the basement should be in the last compartment on the PS on the left back wall, it should be white. Switch is on top, look at switch for proper direction for ON. Auto gen start will not work with the coach plugged into 50 amp. 50 amp can and will run everything in coach. Run the Aqua hot diesel and electric burner and set the temp in each zone to gas heat and whatever temp you desire. Set zone 2 about 5-10 degrees above what you set zone 1 at.

YAY! I found the bay thermostat and was able to turn it on. Thanks!!
Can I run the diesel burner with the generator off and only the 50 amp shore line (sorry if this is a dumb question but when I think diesel burner, I'm thinking the generator is the diesel drinker)
Right now I have all 3 zones set on Aqua, I don't have a mode that says "gas heat" the choices available are 'Cool' 'Heat Pump' 'Heat Strip' 'Fan'
'Furnace' / 'Aqua' or 'Auto'

Cheryl,
Yes, you can run the diesel burner when the generator is off. I would put the setting on "Furnace/Aqua".

Your plugged into 50 amp set the system to auto and set your temps for each zone. The basement will be aqua Hot only so make sure you have both the electric and diesel burner turned on. In auto mode the T stat will run the heat pumps when it can and switch to furnace when it needs to this will keep your diesel burner use to a minimum. When you first fire it up it likely will run both the heat pumps and the aqua hot til it reaches temp once at or near temp it will run just the heat pumps until they can no longer keep up then it will go back to the aqua hot.

From the OP, you can have the AGS on when plugged into 50 amps. If you loose AC power, your rig will run on the inverters, then the auto gen will start at your set point.
We lost power during a storm and didn't notice until the generator kicked in. This is how it works on my '14.

According to an extensive thread on this subject earlier AGS with shore power plugged in was not an option ( unless like Chuck you paid to have the mod done) until the 2015 model year.

Here is that post if someone wants to do a lot of reading and understand how it works. It took me awhile to understand it http://www.irv2.com/forums/f278/auto...rt-199208.html

To turn on the basement heat, switch mine is flip to the left. And set thermostat. Better double check what it says on the switch. I think it's backwards but that's how mine works like dave said earlier
