Help a dummy with internet hookup

I have a new to me 2018 Entegra Anthem. I am trying to get cell based internet. There is equipment on board and different networks show up on my phone . I don’t know if I have everything I need, or how to interface what is there. I’m wanting to get service by the month. Any direction appreciated. Thanks.

So, Blanchard, when you ask: "Help a dummy with internet hookup", just how dumb are you?

Lest there be any confusion, that was my attempt at injecting a little humor into our conversation. No offense intended.

The good news is that you've got almost everything you need to achieve internet connectivity! I own an '18 Anthem and have almost the same setup as yours. I've been able to maintain internet connection almost everywhere I've been in my coach (47 of the lower 48 states) and I'm confident that you will be able to do that, too!

The "almost everything" part of that implies that you're missing something that's necessary to bring the internet into your Anthem. You'll need some form of Mobile Broadband Modem. Most cell phones are capable of functioning as a Mobile Broadband Modem.

Do you have a cell phone capable of functioning as a WiFi "hotspot" or some other Mobile Broadband Modem "hotspot"?

Take care,
Stu

Like Stu stated - you have everything you need coach wise - just need some type cell phone, hotspot, Sat dish or campground WIFI for you data.

The questions you need to answer is budget, what do you want to do, how long can you accept being offline & how much time are you going to be on the road?

I do have an iPhone i that can be used as a hotspot. I will probably end up with a Verizon jet pack or something similar. For now I will use my phone until I feel like I have a full grasp of how it all fits together.
I figured out enough to get my Winegard connect to work with the internet at work.
I hope there is a more convenient user interface for this.
How does the Pepwave fit in to this?
Thank you for the help.

I am hoping to find a cell based WiFi set up that I can purchase data from 1 month at a time . This motorhome may sit 2-3 months sometimes and I would want to have service idled at those times. I not overly concerned about initial equipment costs as long as it isn’t over the top. I just want to be able to be “in” or “out” on monthly service at any given time.
Thank you.

Your Pepwave Surf SOHO router has the ability to connect to a WiFi source (your iPhone hotspot, as an example) for internet connection. The Pepwave will then transmit a WiFi signal that other devices (laptop, TV, etc.) can connect to and be connected to the internet thru that Pepwave WiFi connection.

Have you been able to connect to the WiFi signal from your Pepwave? When your coach was shipped, your Pepwave was programmed to transmit its WiFi with the SSID of J14B8081 (as indicated on the sticker on top of the Pepwave). It's very possible that previous owner would have changed that and you'll see some other SSID associated with the Pepwave.

Take care,
Stu

If you have a cell phone with a Hotspot feature, that's all you need. We are snowbirds and take our class a to southern Florida for 5 months. We both have iPhone and Hotspots. We work online and haven't had any issues as long as we have cell phone reception.

She has Att and I have Consumer. True unlimited talk, text and data for $50 per month.

If the WIFI name has been changed - You could need to do a hard reset. Page 113 has the reset instructions.

FYI - from factory - the Winegard "black box in the basement passenger side PIC 5" connects to the SOHO via the WAN port.
