Hole in mid bath vanity shelf 2017 Anthem 44B

We have a round I would say 1 inch hole through the shelf in mid bath vanity about 8 8nches in and almost under where the P trap is situated. Nothing runs through this hole. Was told this is normal for 2016's and 2017's and was to allow easy access for P Trap issues. Doesn't make sense to me but then I am no expert in this stuff. It is I think a little unattractive to see a hole sitting there. So I am just wondering does everybody have this hole in their mid bath vanity shelf or is it just some?

I have some like that in my Magna, but they are finger holes to lift up/out the panels for access to plumbing/wiring.

I don't think this is a finger hole but am wondering if everybody with 2016 2017 Entegra Coaches have this.

In our 2017 CS 44K, we have a 1" hole back behind the P-trap, and the water lines are fed through here up to the vanity fixture. As I recall our Excel 5th wheel also has the same hole, serving the same purpose. I never let this bother me, as you have to actually open the lower cabinet door to view it, and I'm sure I had a Kleenex box or something in front of it. If you are bothered by it, you can buy a plastic desk grommet to plug this hole (they come in various dia.), and if you don't have the water lines running through, you can just slide the cover shut.

That's something even a Classic has. No upgrade there. I have so much on that shelf I haven't seen the hole since we brought the MH home.

I also have the hole with the water lines running through it but in addition I have another hole with nothing running through it. I figured it was an error in where they drilled the first hole and was surprised to be told it was to access the P Trap. This is not really a big deal to us but I was just trying to understand whether everybody has this extra hole.

Our coach has the holes you are talking about under the sink in both bathrooms. No apparent reason for them. Glad to know others have the same holes. Has anybody ask CS why they are there?:confused

Tall Tex yes CS told us they were introduced for 2016 and 2017 to provide access to P traps. Don't know if this makes sense. It doesn't to us. We are at Entegra for maintenance and thought we would get shelf replaced (we thought it must have been a hole drilled by mistake ). I don't know why it bothers us as others have said it is under sink and no big deal but I would just as soon have a full shelf without the hole if it is not needed and I certainly don't see the need.

Well, it is on the 2014's so the statement that it was introduced on the 2016/2017 is not correct. Since the hole is not right below the P trap does not make sense that this is what it was for either. My guess is that it was for tool access to put the plumbing in on the sink.

No unused holes in the shelves on our 45W. Only one for water lines and one for drain.
