The bridge, aka ME-RVC, also has to support Lithium and the inverter does as well. So even if the Vegatouch will accept a Lithium setting, it will have no effect if the other pieces aren't "L" versions.

This page talks about the various Magnum inverter "levels", but as far as I could see there is no discussion of Lithium compatibility there.

The ME-RVC, ME-RC and ME-ARC now also come in an L version, but again if the inverter is not also an L version those settings will not work.

According to this page L support was added to key Magnum products in July 2020.

This document provides some additional detail.

You should check if your inverter has an L at the end of the part number if you expect to use the LFP setting in your new remote.

The Magnum-Dimensions CS team is very responsive by phone and email. They are aware of the lithium battery, but did not reference “L” specific models. Looking at the read, there may be further software updating (inverter & bridge) required since my Reatta XL is a 2020 with 2019 parts. However Magnum CS has no concern with set up once the ME-RC50 arrives from donrowe.com.

Thanks for all the input, I’m feeling much more confident with everyone’s support here.

I did order a Magnum controller for $170 with tax & shipping.

What voltage was your lithium battery at exactly when it went into safe mode? It sounds like one of the four cells in the battery got above a safe voltage (usually around 3.75-3.8vpc) and the BMS shuts it down resulting in zero 12v power.

You may have to reduce the charging voltage to prevent the BMS from shutting things down.

I see the temp sensor is disconnected at the battery (good). Is it also disconnected from the inverter?
