I haven't heard anyone mention Trojan Batteries, L16 $581 each, or switching to Lithium Batteries, Very pricy. I am ready to purchase and am trying to decide which way to go. Any ideas??
Thanks
Jim

Jim,
Unless you are willing to go to separate Magnum remotes and unplug your inverters from the Vegatouch interface dont go with lithium, they are not compatible with the limited amount of control you have over the Vegatouch system.

The batteries I have are Relion batteries which are dry cell very easy to replace but should last a very long time they are behind the middle panel in the basement about 8 screws to remove the panel like I said I have a 2019 Entegra Anthem

Sad to say, the Relion batteries are not showing a good life span. Many of the 19's have already had to replace the Relion batteries. Those that I know personally are plugged in 24/7, a few with little use last year due to Covid.
I have them in my 21 and if I get 2 years I will count myself lucky. Mine sat 3 months without being plugged in during the Covid shut down. I am hoping the battery shortage is over when mine expire.

Relion batteries, IMO, are junk. I had to replace all my house batteries at 3 years... could not make it from bedtime at 11:00 pm to 6:00 am without triggering the AGS for low voltage while boondocking. Just cheap "D" quality batteries.

Thanks Don
I think it will be much easier to keep my current configuration with better batteries. I am now looking for Lifeline batteries. Which are very difficult to find as you know.
Thanks again for your help.
Jim

Chuck you said a mouthful regarding the battery shortage ! While at this point in time our original engine and house batteries are testing good I wanted to replace them but had no luck this past Spring locating batteries while still in Florida . I ordered engine start batteries from the Freightliner Facility I dealt with for our trucks and Motorhomes for years ( also worked there P/T delivering trucks ) in Mass back in early June . Alliance Brand ( made by East Penn / DEKA ) and they had 600 on order but never arrived as of last week when we were leaving ! Just CRAZY !

This source ( https://www.thesolarbiz.com/lifeline...h-battery.html) appears to have Lifeline L16 batteries. At least following their on-line order process almost to completion doesn't return an "Out of Stock" response.
Take care,
Stu

Solar Biz
I spoke to Chad at Solar-Biz yesterday. The L16 batteries are 10-12 weeks lead time at $627.99/each. Plus freight and tax. I found a dealer in Cincinnati, Aero Battery, that will sell them for $588/each. Plus freight and tax. I used to get my small plane batteries from them, very good company. He called the factory in CA and they are saying it's a 6-12 week lead time. Their phone number is 513-271-9116.

Batteries
[QUOTE=KennyGolub;5867575]Can someone tell me the OEM batteries that are installed in our 2019 Aspire? OR where I can find that information ?
Is there an "average" life time on the house batteries for those that are full time ?
Is it a difficult task to replace them or is it a fairly simple DIY ?
Thanks.
These batteries are VERY heavy to two people is almost a must.

Reliance battery L-16, in the middle of the coach in the bay with your breakers, behind the panel. They are heavy to move in a cramped space but can be done as a diy

Is there a trick to moving the heavy batteries into their desired place? Slide them on something slippery, or what?

Just be aware of the weight if they are like mine, buried in the mid section. These batteries are very heavy and some help lifting out would have been nice. Very easy connection wise.

There are several threads up here on this forum that deal with the L-16 batteries I have in my 19 Cornerstone that are buried in the center of the coach.
First, I found the OEM L16 of 2018 vintage in a 2019 coach lasted less than 3 years and were darn weak the past year of that use. I replaced mine with new L-16s this past summer. I have described the whole process. Let me see if I can find the thread, but also you can search yourself using the following. Larry and I talk about different ways of lifting and moving the batteries and some of the problems in replacing them.
ENTEGRA: L16 house battery replacement and if that doesnt get it, try just free association the words after the colon and you will come up with the threads easily.
