Ditto. I don't hook up the sewer connection when I get to a campground. I wait until tanks are getting full to hook up and dump, then dump and rinse thoroughly and disconnect again. Working for me so far....

Mine also always reads a small number when I know it's completely empty... but if I know it's empty I can live with it still saying 7 or 10
And that does not bother me😀

We use TankTechRX in our black and gray tank. It inhibits mineralization (struvites) which is the main cause of misreading sensors. It contains microbes which breaks down the waste and helps with odors. A one liter bottle does 68 tank treatments. They have a video on their website which is very informative. Web site is TankTechsRX | Totally Green, Totally Clean!. Glenn and Julia have the product on their website greatescape. As I recall I spent about $30.00 for the one liter bottle and since it does 68 treatments it is pretty cheap. I highly recommend the product.
