We use hours

We try for 6 hours, out by 9 in by 3. Have to get ready for Happy Hour. We try and stay at least 1 week so we can see the local area.

Try the 330 rule. Drive no more than 330 miles. Be parked and set-up by3:30 pm.

We drive a RAM 3500 with a 32 foot Excel 5th. We don't really plan miles per day but rather hours behind the wheel. I like to aim for about 7 hours of driving per day and will do 8 hours if driving is not too bad. I put safety first always and will weather over somewhere if I don't like the forecast. I'm retired (kind-of) and the DW still works, but the job and work will wait for a day if required. On the good roads we'll do a max of 65 mph and less on most bi-ways. I enjoy the view and don't need the stress.

we are retired and usually shoot for around 300 miles or 6-7 hours. Less if we have things we want to see on the way. We try to stay at least 2-3 nights unless it is truly just an overnight stop.

We did 626 miles last week - an all-time record for us. We hit the road about 5 a.m. And hammered down on I70.

We went thru St. Louis about 5:30 a.m., heading west. Then thru Missouri and most of Kansas.

It was pretty easy traveling - no winds, good weather, not much traffic.

We typically do about 350-400, less if conditions are more challenging. And an early start is really important to do a long day. It doesn't seem like so much if most of the miles are done before lunch.

This is pretty easy driving

In 1973 I drove 960 miles from Brunswick, GA to just South of Chicago in 18.5 hours in a 65 Chevelle, no freeway, hwy 65 was 2 lanes, and fools passing in all the worst places. Me and Momma and a 3 and 4 year old. Changed the water pump in 1/2 hour in a restaurant parking lot next to an auto store in Nashville while she fed the kids in the restaurant.
Stopped at a bad motel for 5 hours and made it to Minneapolis the next day.
It was an amazing lesson in "geez, I had a whole month of leave".
Was sick for days!
Now, a REALLY long day is 400.
The Journey has been our Destination ever since.

We drove (really, I did all the driving, DW is still afraid of the big bad wolf) from Destin, Fl to Dallas, Tx. That was a 16 hour day and I was dead azz tired when I got home. I told DW I'd prefer not to do that again.

That's a long drive, done it many times in a car, but not the bus.

We usually leave late morning and enter the next stop in mid afternoon. We go about 200-250 miles at 62mph. We are not in any hurry.
