Thanks Mark. I was looking for a shortcut. It doesn't exist.

After having both types, you can make the uncoated wheels look better. It takes a lot of work, but you can make people say wow.

The only nice thing about coated wheels; they always looks the same. Never wow, thou.

Meguiars Clear Plastic Polish works best on coated rims. Designed for headlights, windows on Jeep soft tops, taillights, etc. Coated rims aren't much different except the plastic is softer.

Coated or Not

The only sticker I see says XP. Should I assume they are coated?

I'll have to look at mine now. I hope mine aren't coated! The coated rims eventually will start looking bad and there isn't much you can do with them. Non-coated can be cleaned and polished.

No, they are not.

Accuride wheels are available as Standard Polish (SP), Extra Polish (XP) and Extra Polish with Accu-Shield Coating (XPC).
Only XPC rims are coated.
