No they're not magnetic, but they do snap into a frame that's screwed to the ceiling.

Anyone found a non-Entegra vendor for these. I saw them on a late 2018 and other than the fact I'd need 12 of them I'd like to give them a try.

Dan, I have 12 of them, but haven't installed them yet. The magnets in my 17 work well, but if I have any trouble with them I'll put the new style on.

I assume you got them from Entegra. How much if you feel comfortable saying?

Lost a fridge vent cover going down the road, stripped the plastic threads. Didn’t want to replace the flange and all the roof caulking around it. Old timer at a RV shop, took large diameter solder, yep solder, shaped it into what looked like a railroad spike. Worked great, and screw was tight.
