Hopefully you will enjoy the "Test" drive Friday. It was a real eye opener for us.

Brian, the compressor is in the front, I screwed up the pictures yesterday. But it is by the passenger side right next to the steps. Click image for larger version

Thanks for the clarification Lynn. I still like the idea they are fine tuning their installation process. When I spoke with Paul, he guessed a complete installation would be about 8 hours if done on a bare chassis prior to delivery to Entegra. I would think that would bring the price down.

I think the control box you took a picture of is the one the technicians use while they are under the coach to make adjustments. I'm guessing yours will be installed in place of the cup holder in the left front of the drivers seat area. That's where ours is and it is very accessible.

Hi Lynn -

Thanks for taking pictures and providing updates. Appreciate it!

After looking at you pictures, will the compressor get exposed to road grim in that location? Maybe others that had this install done can also chime in?

I would think that a major component, such as this, would have been placed in a compartment.

I asked that very question .... it is kinda tucked up under the front, so it is not totally in the elements, but according to the engineers, nope, the road grime won't hurt it a bit.

Thanks Lynn, good to know. Will be following your adventure closely since I have an interest in the HWH system.

Yes, that is the one the techs use ... but it was sitting on the rail while I was taking pictures, so thought I'd include it. Yes, they are going to put the control box in the cup holder where yours is.

I've been reading and re-reading the manual. Really does seem quite complicated. I really wish Dan was here so that when we do the training, we could both be hearing it :-( .... Mark said to record it on my phone, but, I don't know if I can do that AND pay attention enough to retain anything. It is a bitch getting old ... not quite as sharp and focused as I used to be (at least I feel like that sometimes)

Interesting! We're scheduled to arrive at HWH on October 1st for our install, then travel to the Albuquerque Balloon Festival after its install. Can't wait! Harry, you must be scheduled after us.

Interesting to read who is in line ahead of us. We are booked for the week of October 22nd. Once they get started we were planning to head away for the week and return on Friday.

Once the install is complete and the coach returned back we’ve been asked to hang around the area for a few days in case there is a system problem. I would like to hear from those who have had Active Air installed and the departure experience.

If you have any questions after Friday, please feel free to give me a call Lynn. If all else fails you can just push the reset button on the bottom right of the control panel. Works every time

I'm enjoying watching your system install. Thanks for posting.

Just an FYI: HWH used that same Thomas 12V air pump in Monaco legacy coach air suspension systems except that it was installed back by the rear dual tires. Road grime is a definite issue with that pump as it has air vents in the case that allow the dirt to get inside the and gum it up. Most of us have had to rebuild or replace the pump.

My "problem" will be taking my 6 cats with me. Can't leave them home for the three-four weeks to travel there and back since the DW died. Plus the techs need access to the dash area at times. I can take care of that by putting the cats in the back and closing the door though. Not insurmountable problems but need to plan for it.

Maybe because it is installed in front of the front tires and up into the cavity a bit, it won't get as much road grime. Nothing will be pushing up the grime like it would be if it was installed behind any of the tires. I don't know ... just guessing. Two people here have told me that it won't be a problem, so, I'm not going to worry about it until there is a problem.
