Hydraulic Fluid Cooling Fan

2014 Entegra Anthem !
After excercising the coach the other day , I pulled into the RV
garage and did not hear the fan running. Its the one under the coach
in front of the drive shaft. There was a lot of heat coming from the engine compartment. Raised the hatch and the Hydraulic fluid reservoir tank
was too hot. i waited until the next day, crawled under the coach and disconnected the power harness. I connected 12 volts and the fan wont run.
Called Spartan , they have no fans ! Manufacturer out of business .They do have a whole assembly which includes the radiator, $1196.70. Not an easy task to replace.
Has anyone out there had this issue and if so ,what was your solution ?

Regards !

Motor Rebuild

In the engine room we would have them rebuilt shoreside in a couple days.

Those commercial ships, tugs and ferry boats have so many pumps and motors made to spec they have to be rebuilt so there are quite a few places that do it.

Not worth doing a Harbor Freight item. Should be better than replacing your radiator.

I was thinking the same thing, a rebuild shop. In my area there are several electric motor rebuild shops. They must do well, this one has been here as long as I have which is 36 years. https://www.pumpspluscapecoral.com/

For a replacement, try Granger. Spartan does not keep up with replacement parts when they no longer use them. Granger on the other hand finds replacements for all types of industrial uses.

The hydraulic fluid cooler fan should be similar to a standard radiator cooling fan. Have you tried Amazon or Ebay. Usually, all you need is the outside diameter and system voltage.

Good luck!

Are you talking about the littler cooler in front of the axle tucked up high?

There's nothing special about that fan. Measure the dimensions of the core and mount a new one up. Summit racing has a huge selection.

Thanks to everyone who replied, saved me some money!
One other question, does this fan push or pull air across the
coil ?
Some fans are reversable !
Thanks, appreciated !

Don’t know about that specific fan, but 99%, maybe 100%, of fans pull air through the coils.

From Amazon:

Spal 30101516 16" Straight Blade Low Profile Fan .

15.75 inch wide x 16.3 inch high x 2.48 inch thick.

12 volts, 1610 cfm

Its a "puller" fan.

Around $110.00

I will update once I receive it, get it installed and make sure it works !
