With all of the cracks, it must be made by Michelin.

So I called Spartan and asked them to send me a new hose. I plan to use a mobile tech to replace and wanted to be sure to have the correct hose so I didn't pay for 2 trips. The guy at Spartan (who was nice) didn't want a picture because that would not have helped him. He was looking for a certain length of hose and mine (which is around 17 inches) did match the 31 or so inches he was expecting. So no hose is coming.....

He showed 2 hoses, both Parker Hannifin, one is noted as 811-16 and the other has part number 811-20. He suggested getting them locally. See the picture, mine appears to say 811-16 but is very faint. When I explained what my hoses looked like he made some comment like someone added an extra filter, but this is how I got it from the factory.

Does anyone have any clue as to whether the my hose (its the one going to the left from underneath the reservoir and down to the filter in the picture) is the 811-16 and would you go to a truck parts place or just a regular car parts store.

Thanks for any input.

Looks like 811-16 to me. Spartan did this mod to get the filter from hanging on bottom of tank and causing tank to crack. I can’t believe Spartan doesn’t have the correct hose. Tractor supply or maybe NAPA can make a hose if all else fails.

Any major parts store should have stock hydraulic hose

The radius is odd as mentioned

Hi Van. Did some poking around my hydraulic hoses today and unfortunately the only number on the hoses I found were the SAE numbers.

I did notice that there are two sizes of hoses coming off the reservoir and one smaller size in and out of the filter. After looking at the Parker Hannifin web site it looks as though the -xx number indicates the I.D. Of the hose. The web site also allows for you to search, by zip code, a local distributor of their hoses. You may want to look at that. Maybe a local dealer can help you.

Another thing I noticed was the bend radius of the hoses. They are in no way as sharp as yours. My assumption is that your hoses may have been cut to long.

Parker 811-16 hose is a "suction and return line" hose. Max temp for hose is 212 degrees. That might be the problem of cracking since the oil might get hotter then 212 degrees. This hose has a 1 1/2" outside diameter. Minimum bend radius is 3" I think you can get a hose like this from any hydraulic hose place in any town.

I’m surprised the person at Spartan didn’t offer to send the longer hose and you could have cut it to the length you needed. The hose ends look to be king nipples and simply push on and clamp.

I just received an email from Spartan wanting to sell parts, to bad they can’t provide the ones you need.
