Hydraulic Spin-on Filter

Time to change the spin-on hydraulic filter, and trying to find the one that came with the 2014 Anthem (IKRON HE K44 30.155 AS FG010) is a little troublesome. I did find a cross reference to a Zinga ZAE10 and also a Donaldson P560693, which I would prefer to use if it's correct? Anyone use a filter other than the IKRON?

Thanks

I used the Zinga with no problems. When servicing I had to unbolt the entire hydraulic tank assembly from the frame and reposition it a little to get the filter out inside the tank. Spartan says replace the spin on yearly and the inner filter at two years. I did both. Yes it was messy. Use a 5 gal bucket and ALSO a catch pan under your work area. Spartan said just drain the old oil out the drain plug and replace with new. No need to worry about residual oil in lines. If I recall correctly mine took 11 qts. The First 8 qts went in immediately then after the air bubbles worked out the remaining 3. Don't overfill it or it will spew oil for months (Cummins did that to me after my first trip hydraulic failure).

Thanks for the reply Dave. I think I'm going to try the Wix filter, as I have been using Wix filters for many years for fuel, oil, and air filters with good results. It has the same 10 micron rating and I believe the flow rating listed is more than adequate for what the hydraulic system supports.

Thanks again

I need to replace mine also. I posted this in the Filter/Belt thread but I didn't get a response:

I did a filter search/cross reference and came up with WIX 51551, WIX 51746, and Zinga ZAE10.

WIX 51551 (10 Micron, 12-16 GPM)
WIX 51746 (5 Micron, 28-30 GPM)
Zinga ZAE10 (10 Micron, ? GPM)

By comparison:
Ikron HEK4430155ASFG010 (10 Micron, 79 GPM)

Has anyone tried the Zinga or Wix filters?

Will you post which WIX you decide to use?

As an update to my original post, please note that neither the Donaldson nor the Wix filter I mentioned as a cross reference to the IKRON hydraulic filter are NOT the correct size, although numerous cross reference sites list these as comparable filters. Also, the Zinga ZAE10 noted on the "sticky" for filter and fluids on the home page for Entegra Owners is correct either. The filter base on my 2014 Anthem and associated IKRON filter has a 5.1 inch diameter base where as the Donaldson, Wix, and Zinga ZAE10 have a 3.8 inch base and ressemble a standard oil filter. The correct Zinga replacement filter is a ZSE10. The sticky needs correction.

Hydraulic filters

Also getting ready to change fluid ect on our 2014.
I found the large filter spin on at Napa crossed over to a 1746.
However the Nelson 87610A has no crossover.
Reasearch shows other had an issue is this a Fleetguard part number now?
Im in Canada so ordering on line is a bit of an issue re importing ect...
