Chuck after seeing all the news videos of the destruction, we are so glad to see you guys are safe that is all that matters. Sure, it is going to be a PITA to get everything back to normal and repaired. Hang in there our thoughts and prayers are with you, guys.

Chuck - Glad you are all ok and you had a motorhome to go to.

The pictures and videos look like the area was hit real bad.

Thankfully you are all safe and unharmed.

Glad you survived. I keep wondering how you were doing. After being through a number of hurricanes I know how scary it can be.

When Ike came through we were one of the lucky ones. We only lost the garage a shower, and a few beams had to be replaced due to the neighbors house coming apart and slammed into ours. It was almost two weeks before they would let us back. About two months to get power and 3 to get water back

IAN got us but we're OK

Sending good wishes to you from Western New York. We spent the summer in Cocoa Beach at the condo and the live cam showed ANGRY seas the other day. Can’t imagine the devastation.

Hi Chuck,

Glad you guys made it through. Hope the recovery goes quickly. The reports in Denver are that many states are sending help to rebuild your infrastructure as quickly as they can. Thoughts and prayers for those that must endure the pain of rebuilding.

Cheers

Glad all is ok with you!!! It’s tough to imagine the devastation from here in MN with our very benign fall weather. God bless, keep up hope and faith.

Chuck, so very glad to hear you and family are safe! We are in St. Augustine, had lots of rain, wind, and flooding; however, we are also safe and no damage. Very thankful and hope you and others can begin rebuilding very soon.

Next door to Orlando. Many neighbors suffered flood losses. Not a scratch for us.
No internet, phone etc. Can send a message once in awhile.

Fortunately I have a direct tv dish on a heavy round pipe and it held fast so we at least are getting updates and our over the air antenna survived as well.

Those in your area have absolutely nothing. No information sources most likely.

We are incredibly lucky. Our power and internet came online at the same time late yesterday.

Having the RV and generator made life comfortable for our family in the sticks and bricks.

After seeing the damage the hurricane did to the Everglades area several years ago and the cat 3 that went through our property I cannot imagine the SW recovering in less than a couple of years.

It would be interesting if anyone here can report on Starlink operating in that area right now. One could have possibly protected it and then taken it back out again.

If someone has a starlink they could possibly go through neighborhoods and provide a few minutes of communications for folks that have no way of informing family and friends.

Chuck

Glad your okay. We are just up the road near Lakeland (Polk City). We fared well. Very fortunate. The RV community I’m in suffered minor damages. A huge difference 70 mi inland. We never lost power or internet, thanks to underground utilities and luck.

I know what Hurricane damage is like on the water. I spent a long time two years ago restoring stuff at our previous house on Pensacola Bay due to Sally.

The problem now, after losses of life of course, is getting materials and workers at reasonable costs. I know you can’t find shingles, plywood, deck materials, dock stuff and all the interior stuff anywhere in this part of Florida….and March in the scammers and carpet baggers. Sorry for everyone’s loss.

Thank you ALL for the kind wishes and well being. After 3 days we finally have some cell service and limited internet. Enough that we were able to contact the insurance company today.
Have most of the clean up done, but repair people is going to be very slow process.
I will post a real life situation on the battery post when I have internet
Again thank all of you.
