Ice maker problems

Good morning all.

We have a 2018 Entegra 44A, with a Whirlpool refrigerator.
Refrigerator/freezer has always worked well, I wish I could say the same about the ice maker.

It seems to not make ice because it's frozen up and I need a hair dryer to thaw it or the current problem is water is coming out of the dispenser shoot.

I tried to buy an extended warrantee from Whirlpool and was informed they will not sell a policy for RV's.

Im headed to Crazydays next month and I hope they can help.
Has anyone had these issues.

It sounds like the water level is set too high in the cube tray. That will cause ice to freeze above where it is suppose to. That stops the mechanism from dumping the ice and cycling. If you have water dripping or coming out of the dispenser cute you are definitely getting too much water. Either the level is set too high or the solenoid valve is leaking.
There is usually a small screw on the ice maker that sets the water level.
The solenoid valve is usually on the back of the frig near the bottom. Follow the 1/4”water line.

I had that problem on a previous MH. It was the flow valve. It was easier to replace the ice maker. If still under warranty it should be covered.
