I don’t understand the comments about “outside air.” The heat pumps do not use outside air. They pull in air through the returns and push air out through the vents. I’ve noticed that when the fan is running for a heat pump that is not compressing the air coming out of vent is neither heated nor cooled so it seems the heat pump is not working.
To the OP, what happens if you turn off 2 and 3 so only #1 is active and the set temp is above the thermostat reading? Do you hear the compressor turn on?

I can't answer for other posters, but I simply meant the air coming in was "like outside air". It was surely cooler air than the rest of the coach.

I did find that the reversing switch can be locked at 3 failed attempts to heat (due to too much of a temperature request: ie more than 5 degrees different). It remains locked for 2 hours and there is no way to reset it.

I'm waiting until later today to try it again to see if that was the issue.

Ken, from your description it sounds as if the reversing valve has stuck in the “cool” cycle. Frankly, these units are largely not repairable and are commonly replaced entirely for seemingly easy fixes.

I hope you find a tech that can get you working.

In spite of what seems to be a small mechanical failure, the basic design of having the Aquahot supplement the roof heat is a sound concept. This thermostat takes into account that you might be using roof heat when you go to bed, and will automatically bring the Aquahot into play when the roof heat isn’t sufficient to maintain the desired temps.

Pretty clever.

i cant comment on your system as I don't have it but i had something like this happen in a vehicle before and it turned out to be a blend door actuator or something like that. faulty equipment it sounds like to me. good luck.

It sounds like the compressor is not turning on only the fan motor.

The manual I was reading was correct. The large temperature gap in the morning, caused the heat pump to attempt to run, three times and locked out the heat pump for two hours.
I started it up this afternoon, and it did start throwing heat. It needed some time to unlock.

Thanks for all the replies...
If I attached the manual pages correctly, they'll be attached to this post. Note the section on Lock Out.

I've been having trouble with the heat pump zone 1 too.
I can clearly hear that the compressor is not turning on.
Normally 10 to 30 seconds after the fan comes on, the compressor starts. Hard to miss, they are loud.

Oddly, if I put the unit in cool mode, the compressor does turn on and blows very cold.

As for the comments about the system being smart enough to switch to gas when it gets too cold, this worked well in our previous monaco with a propane furnace, however the system in the entegra is not smart enough to switch on the aquahot diesel burner, nor is it smart enough to turn off the fan in the ceiling unit.
So it blows cold air.

Jim, you’re correct. The solution is to leave the burner on and not use the roof heat unless it’s during the waking hours and you can monitor it.

This is why we typically just use the AH, and don’t mess with the roof heat pumps. Besides which they are louder than the AH.

X2 on that Matt. First time we tried to use the "new" to us heat pumps on the 14, we woke up to 53* in the coach and the heat pumps blowing cold air. That was the last time the heat pumps were used. The quiet aqua hot was one of the reasons for our upgrade of coaches. Prior to that it was noise space heaters to conserve propane.

I apologize for not finishing this thread.

I went to Entegra factory in May. The valve switch was bad. It wouldn't switch it to heat from cool air. (I'm not sure if that's the "technical" name for it. All I know is it is the switch that goes back and forth from heat to air conditioning).

I'm happy to know it wasn't me
