Ignition won’t work sometimes
We have a 2020 Anthem. Hopefully I am just doing something kind of dumb (I hope it is just me). Sometimes, when we are ready to get going I will depress the brake and wait to everything on the dash to “wake up” and also wait for the engine/emissions warning to clear from the dash, and then I will push the start/ignition button, with my foot on the brake, and nothing will happen. I will have to turn the dash back off and try the start procedure again. Every once in a while I may need to do this a few times. I know the batteries in the key fob go bad quickly so I make sure that isn’t an issue. Has anyone ever experienced this? I have tried to make this happen when I am at NIRV but of course it doesn’t do it when I am there. A couple times I have gotten a little worried, and I step back and wait a few minutes before doing the start procedure again. Maybe this happens one out of Ten times.

The TriMark unit under the package tray had some bad unit that failed. It is what the remote connects to to start the coach. It's an easy plug and play fix and under warranty.

I’ve had the same issue. I have found success by doing the starting procedure in 2 separate steps. Foot on the brake, push the button, foot off the brake and wait for the dash to light up. Then foot on the brake and push to start.

I just replaced the Trimark box for that issue. It is plug and play, but it is not easy. You have to unplug enough of the infotainment unit to be able to pull it out and lay it on the dash. Then you have to remove the screws in the trimark box that are under a thousand wires “more or less” then try working the box out from under those wires as you unplug the wiring from it.
Having said that does your fob lock and unlock the doors ok. If so Spartan says turn off coach batteries and pull fuse in round cover, I think it’s f-15, but not sure, for 30 minutes.
Once you jump through those hoops it comes down to the Trimark box. It comes with new remotes and so far works great, but I’ve only tried it a few times.
When mine started acting up I would stop everything take fob back in coach then bring it back up and it usually worked, but it got progressively worse.
Pictures and careful are your friends.

Ignition won't work sometimes
Thank you everyone for your responses. So, the key fob does unlock and lock the door and the compartments. I actually forwarded this thread to Skip at NIRV in Surprise AZ. Our coach is there right now. I forgot to bring this up when I dropped it off because it doesn't happen all the time. I will try the Spartan fix, turning off the battery switch and removing the fuse in the back the next time it happens. Usually, if it is being stubborn, I can just wait a few minutes and then try again, but my fear would be it goes completely south. I did find a similar thread:
https://www.irv2.com/forums/f278/21-...rt-567234.html
It talks about turning on your headlights.
Thank you again for helping out. I look on this forum just about everyday and appreciate the time people take to help everyone else out. I have learned so much here.

Yeah, I forgot about the headlight hoop. I think they’re all something for a temporary bandaid.

I did notice on the 23 models the TriMark box is in the cabinet over the steering wheel. I wonder if that's for ease of service or better performance?

I saw that too and thought it was a smart move. The little computer that controls so much did need easier access.

But not as bad at the Matrix in the basement the year before your coach Every time you would try to change input source you would have to go in the basement and switch it manually. If designers would only spend a week in a coach before saying, "that looks good", or it fits there.

I would have NIRV change out the Trimark box since they have your coach. When the part in the Trimark for starting the coach fails the fobs will still open / lock doors and compartments. When the unit finally gives up the ghost, you could be at a campsite, fuel station sitting at the pump, home, or ??? With failed unit is is impossible to start the engine. I spent over 1/2 a day with the help of Justin of NIRV, access to all of the wiring diagrams, and trying every trick we could come up with to start the coach with a failed Trimark .

Ignition won’t start sometimes
I did forward this thread to Skip and NIRV and then I spoke to him about it also. He is getting a new Trimark box. I appreciate the fact that he (Skip) at NIRV seems okay with me suggesting a “fix” for a problem, based on everyone’s experiences and input. I also appreciate the fact that people from NIRV take the time to participate on this forum. As a business owner, I struggle myself when a customer has an idea about how I should solve a problem. I should probably work in my self pride thinking that in my line of work, I know what the best solution might be to a given problem, when I fact, someone else my have experienced a similar problem and already has a proper solution for that problem. The older I get, the more I realize that I still have a lot to learn.
