Angry Incessant beeping

Hi all- I’m new here. Just bought a 2023 Entegra Launch 19Y. There is an external alarm that continues to go off when the van is parked. This started day 1 - randomly stopped day 3 and is back again on day 5. I’ve checked everywhere for faults etc, the battery levels are fine. I called the Entegra warranty 800 number and they had no idea. The noise is coming from the back near the awning. Any ideas? I can’t get in for a warranty appt for another week. The cruise is also not working - that has been since day 1. I get an error related to the auto detecting of other vehicles. Seems that’s a common problem. I can live with the cruise issue for another week but the beeping is making me insane. Any help would be appreciated.

Welcome aboard!
Sounds like a chassis alarm rather than a coach builder addon.
How about if you put the key in and turn to start position. Set the park brake and pull the transmission to neutral. This might cancel a faulty back-up alarm. Worth a try.

Start pulling fuses until the beeping stops. The will eliminate where the problem is.

I just had the same issue with a friend's coach, that may help you. I am not familiar with the brand awning you have on your Entegra. However, is it a Carefree? If so, if you extend the awning about two or three feet you will see a small black box screwed to the awning rail. It is normally held with a couple of phillips screws. That box is your wind sensor that is driven by two AA or AAA batteries. That noise is coming from your awning motor indicating low battery power in that sensor box. Easy to remove the box and change batteries. If I am wrong, you could do as Brobox suggested and remove the 12V fuse if you have a 12V driven awning or circuit breaker if driven by 120V and see if the noise stops. The noise comes and goes because the voltage drop of those batteries drop in cold temps and rises in warmth. Fresh, quality batteries should cure it.

I don’t know your coach but beeps can be hard for our ears to lock down.
I try putting something in between my ears and where I think the beep is. Like a large cookie sheet or a block of wood. High sounds are directional and sometimes you can tell when you put something between you and the beep. Then you can narrow down the source of the beep.

An 18" piece of garden hose works well. One end by your ear canal and the other end scanning for the source. A kitchen funnel in the other end may help locate the source.

Take care,
Stu

Replace the batteries in all your sensors. Smoke, CO2, ETC. If battery voltage drops like when they get old they will beep to let you know. If you replace them you will know they are good to go.
