Is it bad to store coach with slide outs extended?

I have a 2018 Entegra Cornerstone that sleeps indoors. Does it cause any harm to keep the slide outs always extended? Other than my head when walking around with a ball cap on?

When slides are out the hydraulic pressure in the lines are high, when in the pressures are low.
That’s about it.

I tend to keep mine in all the time unless I am using the RV

No hydraulic slides here on Entegra's so I can't see that one being an issue. I can not think of a reason having slides deployed while stored would be detriment to long term function.

None of our slide outs are hydraulic and the only reason we like leaving the slides out is just to visit her, show her off to friends and occasionally spend the night. I just wanted to see if there was any damage caused by leaving them extended.

We store ours with the slides out all winter, it is no different that full timing and staying in one place for months.

How is leaving the slides out any different than living in the RV full time? As for pressure in a hydraulic line and piston, once the slide is out, the pressure is static. It has rto have the pressure to move the side in our out. As for hydraulic jacks/levelers, when extended there will be pressure on the line and jack.

issues i came across with slides out the entry point , birds got under the slide mechanism and into the bottom of the coach to make a nest. And one time had to go out of town in an emergency and usually if we are away we bring the slides just incase weather changes ( IE) wind storms etc.. which tore into a slide topper

We FTd for 7 yrs.....3 slides (2 hydraulic/1 electric) were OUT everyday during those 7 yrs except for 6 hrs on travel day

Slideouts are self supporting when extended so no harm/no foul leaving them out

Thank you everyone. I didn't think about the full-timers aspect of it, makes sense.
Pool noodles don't fit the thickness of the slide out, thinking about going to a bicycle helmet. lol

The slide seals are all I would be considering.

Slides out - seals that stop water coming in (outer seals) while travelling are relaxed and extended (inner) seals are compressed.

Slides in - outer seals are compressed and inner seals are relaxed.

I don't know if the outer seals will take a memory from extended time of being compressed or not. But I will err on the safe side and have my slides out while stored inside our shed. That way IMM the seals that matter going down the road in a driving rain storm will be as pliable as possible.

What are other's thoughts?

I had a slide topper tear when left out in the wind but storing inside won't have that issue. Also had bees nest in the slide topper but again that was outside and probably could happen if it was in or out. Now I have a slide gasket thats come loose but that is from bringing it in and out a lot.
